Phone vibration
Open this page on your phone and tap a pattern. The short buzz and the 1 second vibration show if the motor works. Weak or rattling vibration points to a loose or failing motor.
iPhone note: Apple does not let websites vibrate the phone, so the phone test only works on Android. On iPhone, use Settings, Sounds and Haptics to check vibration instead.
Phone not vibrating?
- Check that vibration is turned on in sound settings, and that the phone is not in Do Not Disturb.
- Battery saver mode often turns vibration off.
- Restart the phone. If it still does not vibrate, the motor may need repair.
Controller rumble
Most controllers have two motors: a heavy one for strong, low rumble and a light one for fast, buzzy feedback. Test each on its own. If one side feels dead, that motor or its connection has failed. Rumble works in Chrome and Edge for Xbox and PlayStation controllers, best over USB. For a full controller check, use the gamepad tester.

How do I test my phone vibration?
